Cost-Effectiveness of 3D Total-Body Photography for Melanoma Detection

A cost-effectiveness study compared 3D total-body photography (TBP) with sequential digital dermoscopy imaging (SDDI) versus usual care for early melanoma detection. The intervention increased costs without significantly improving malignant tumor detection or quality-adjusted life-years. While TBP-SDDI may offer future benefits with AI integration, its short-term cost-effectiveness remains uncertain. Further research is needed to assess its long-term impact on melanoma outcomes.
