Managing patients with pneumothorax and pneumomediastinum is particularly challenging as many require assisted ventilation, leading physicians to intervene more frequently. Evidence suggests that patients with COVID-19-related pleural diseases have a more severe illness and poorer prognosis. Early recognition and targeted management of these complications are crucial for improving outcomes.
