A recent study has shed light on the potential of crocin, a natural compound found in saffron, in treating chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). The study revealed that crocin effectively suppressed type 2 inflammatory responses by inhibiting the activation of NF-κB, particularly at lower concentrations. This research provides promising insights into using crocin as a therapeutic option for nasal polyps.
