This multinational study investigates the explicit and implicit weight biases faced by preconception, pregnant, and postpartum (PPP) women, focusing on community members' perspectives across six countries. The study identified cultural differences in weight bias, with participants from India reporting the lowest explicit bias and those from Australia and the UK showing the lowest implicit bias. Three distinct profiles emerged based on body mass index (BMI) and weight-controllability beliefs, with individuals from non-Western countries showing less explicit weight bias.
