Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is the leading endocrinological disorder affecting women during their reproductive years, often leading to infertility. Lifestyle changes and ovulation induction serve as primary treatments; however, when these fail, in vitro fertilization (IVF) becomes the next option. A significant concern during ovarian stimulation for IVF in PCOS patients is the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). To mitigate the risk of severe OHSS, cryopreservation of all embryos for later transfer has proven effective. As a result, the number of embryo transfers using thawed embryos in women with PCOS has significantly increased. This topic has been the subject of extensive investigation through several retrospective studies, highlighting the importance of cryopreservation in improving patient outcomes.

Blocking miR-30e-5p reduced atherosclerosis in obese and atherosclerotic mice, highlighting a potential therapeutic pathway.
