A cross-sectional study on psoriasis patients investigated liver fibrosis (LF) prevalence and its association with methotrexate and other risk factors. Of 204 participants, 36% had LF, but methotrexate dosage showed no correlation with LF severity. Risk factors for higher LF included high BMI, waist circumference, metabolic syndrome, and alcohol use. Notably, BMI ≥28, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome were better predictors of LF compared to Fib-4 score. These findings underscore the importance of assessing liver health in psoriasis patients, particularly those with specific risk factors like high BMI and metabolic disorders.
