Using public datasets, researchers identified DLST, GLS, LIPT1, MTF1, and PDHB as COPD biomarkers with high predictive accuracy (AUC > 0.7). These genes correlated significantly with immune cell infiltration and clinical subtypes. Findings highlight the disrupted copper metabolism’s role in COPD and suggest new molecular pathways for future diagnostics and targeted therapy development.
