The study found that daptomycin and fosfomycin work synergistically against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), reducing resistance mutation risks. The combo narrowed the mutant selection window, prevented key resistance gene mutations, and showed strong anti-biofilm effects in vitro. These findings suggest the combination not only enhances antibacterial action but may also help prevent resistance development in MRSA infections.
