A study examined the impact of SARS-CoV-2 infection and vaccination on menstrual cycles. The research involved 1,726 participants. Results revealed that cycle length and bleeding volume changed significantly after vaccination but not menstruation duration. Subjective perceptions often disagreed with objective changes. Risk factors for cycle variations included prior irregular cycles, age, and body mass index. The study concluded that SARS-CoV-2 immunization can temporarily affect menstrual cycle characteristics, with individual factors playing a significant role.
