Effect of dapagliflozin on health status and quality of life across the spectrum of ejection fraction: Participant‐level pooled analysis from the DAPA‐HF and DELIVER trials

The combined analysis of the DAPA-HF and DELIVER trials investigated the effects of dapagliflozin on health status in patients with heart failure, regardless of their left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). The study utilized participant-level data and measured health status using the Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire (KCCQ). Results showed that dapagliflozin consistently improved various aspects of health status, such as symptom scores, clinical summary scores, overall summary scores, and physical limitation scores, across the entire LVEF spectrum. The responder analyses revealed that dapagliflozin-treated patients had fewer clinically meaningful deteriorations in health status and a greater proportion of patients experienced improvements. These findings suggest that dapagliflozin can enhance health status in heart failure patients, including those with LVEF above 60%.
