The present meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of multifactorial intensive treatment (MT) in patients with diabetic kidney disease (DKD). The study analyzed data from five randomized control trials and found that MT was associated with significant reductions in all-cause mortality, cardiovascular event disease rate, retinopathy progression, progression of macroalbuminuria, and progression of microalbuminuria. Importantly, MT was not associated with an increased risk of adverse events. The study suggests that MT has significant benefits for patients with DKD.

An umbrella review of 69 systematic reviews covering 970 studies and 221 factors identified six factors with convincing evidence of association with psychotic disorders.
