A meta-analysis of 13 trials involving over 90,000 patients found that sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors reduced the risk of heart failure hospitalization (HFH), or cardiovascular (CV) death by 24% in heart failure (HF), T2DM, and CKD populations. The benefits were consistent across different patient groups, including those with HF with reduced or preserved ejection fraction, T2DM with or without CKD, and patients with all three comorbidities.
