In a recent meta-analysis, the effects of tirzepatide on blood pressure and lipid profiles were examined. Seven randomized controlled trials were included in the study, revealing positive outcomes. Regardless of the dosage administered, tirzepatide led to substantial reductions in systolic blood pressure, with decreases ranging from 4.20 to 5.77 mmHg. Additionally, at all once-weekly doses, tirzepatide resulted in significant reductions in total cholesterol levels, ranging from 3.76% to 5.93%. Furthermore, tirzepatide treatment increased high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol levels while decreasing low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
