Effect of tumor CD276 expression on infiltrating immune cells and clinicopathological features of prostate cancer

This study investigated the role of CD276 in advanced prostate cancer (PCa) and its potential as a target for immunotherapy. CD276 was identified as a key molecule regulating the immune microenvironment (IM) through transcriptomic and proteomic analyses. In vivo and in vitro experiments confirmed that CD276 knockdown enhanced CD8+ T cell infiltration into the IM. Immunohistochemical analysis of PCa samples supported these findings. The study concluded that CD276 inhibits the enrichment of CD8+ T cells in PCa, suggesting that CD276 inhibitors could serve as potential targets for immunotherapy in advanced PCa.
