A study assessed the effectiveness and safety of various treatments for genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM) in postmenopausal women. Vaginal estrogen showed potential in improving vulvovaginal dryness, dyspareunia, and overall treatment satisfaction. Vaginal dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) and oral ospemifene also demonstrated benefits for dryness and dyspareunia. Vaginal moisturizers were effective for dryness, though evidence was of low certainty. Vaginal testosterone, systemic DHEA, vaginal oxytocin, and oral raloxifene or bazedoxifene showed limited or uncertain efficacy.
