
The study was conducted among 100 Afghan refugee women in Istanbul, Türkiye, between August 2022 and February 2023. Before the telehealth educational intervention, the participants showed low breast cancer awareness, with none identifying common signs or risk factors. However, after the intervention, 99% accurately recognized these factors, and all participants accepted screening mammograms. The study highlights the success of telehealth in increasing breast cancer awareness and screening rates in this population.
