A comprehensive analysis of 21 randomized controlled trials involving 6,665 patients with metastatic colorectal cancer reveals that bevacizumab (BEV) in combination therapy demonstrates superior anti-tumor activity compared to single-treatment schemes. The benefits of BEV were noted in disease control and outperforming cetuximab, ramucirumab, cediranib, and panitumumab. However, the study suggests that while BEV enhances anti-tumor ability and disease control, it does not significantly prolong overall or progression-free survival. Cetuximab and panitumumab may exhibit stronger abilities, indicating the need for further clinical support to establish a more effective treatment plan.
