This study evaluates the effectiveness of a cesarean delivery (CD) bundle, including preoperative vaginal preparation, cefazolin, and azithromycin, in reducing postoperative infections compared to cefazolin alone. Among 457 women undergoing CD during the second stage of labor, the CD bundle group showed significantly lower rates of endometritis, surgical-site infection (SSI), and composite infectious morbidity. Neonatal outcomes were similar between groups, with the CD bundle reducing the risk of infections (OR 0.08).

Blocking miR-30e-5p reduced atherosclerosis in obese and atherosclerotic mice, highlighting a potential therapeutic pathway.
