This study explores the association between adherence to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) mobile health (mHealth) tools and exacerbation-related outcomes. Using data from a randomized controlled trial, the research analyzes exacerbation-free weeks and self-management behavior in adherent and non-adherent COPD patients. While adherence didn't significantly impact exacerbation-free weeks, adherent patients exhibited more proactive self-management actions and higher scores in self-efficacy and disease acceptance. The study emphasizes the need for larger investigations to clarify the relationship between mHealth adherence and COPD outcomes.
