This 24-week, non-interventional, multicentre study assessed the efficacy and safety of the fixed ratio combination iGlarLixi 100/33 (insulin glargine 100 U/mL plus lixisenatide 33 μg/mL) in people with type 2 diabetes (PwT2D). Participants, with HbA1c between 7.5%–10.0%, switched from basal insulin supported oral therapy (BOT) to iGlarLixi. Results showed significant improvements in HbA1c, fasting plasma glucose, and body weight (all p < 0.01). Use of DPP4 inhibitors dropped significantly, and time in range increased while time above range decreased. Hypoglycaemia events were low, with no severe hypoglycaemia reported.
