Emollient “plus” significantly outperformed urea 10% moisturizer in improving AD symptoms and skin barrier function. A 12-week trial with 60 subjects (30/group) showed superior results for Group A in TEWL, skin pH, SCORAD, hydration, EASI, DLQI, and PVAS scores at Weeks 4, 8, and 12. Both treatments were well tolerated, but the emollient “plus” was more effective in managing mild-to-moderate AD.
