The study assessed the impact of high-fluence accelerated corneal cross-linking with riboflavin/UV-A and rose bengal/green light on enzymatic digestion resistance. Ex-vivo porcine corneas were subjected to various treatments, revealing that both chromophore/light combinations significantly increased digestion resistance. Riboflavin/UV-A treatment showed increased resistance with higher fluence levels, while rose bengal/green treatment reached a plateau effect at 15 J/cm². Optimal clinical settings were identified as 15 J/cm² for riboflavin/UV-A and 10 J/cm² for rose bengal/green light.
