The study investigates the impact of root canal curvature and working depth on irrigation efficiency in root canal therapy. Using micro-CT scans and 3D reconstruction, the study analyses irrigation flow dynamics with a 30G side-vented needle at various depths and curvatures. Results indicate moderate working depths enhance irrigation flow displacement and decrease apical pressure. Additionally, greater canal curvature poses challenges to irrigation. Optimal working depths and understanding curvature effects can improve root canal treatment outcomes by enhancing irrigation efficiency and smear layer removal.
