
A study investigates environmental factors affecting pediatric epistaxis across different climate zones. Analyzing data from 2007-2010, 184,846 children with nosebleeds were compared to 1,897,012 controls. Results show that moderate temperature zones have lower epistaxis rates than extremely hot or cold zones. Humidity inversely affects epistaxis in moderate temperature areas but not in extremely hot climates. Surprisingly, summer has lower epistaxis odds than winter, but there's a higher rate of cautery procedures in summer, mostly in clinics. This study offers insights into climate-related epistaxis risk factors, potentially enabling more tailored clinical management based on regional climates.
