The study evaluated the effectiveness and safety of switching to insulin glargine 300 U/mL (Gla‐U300) in patients with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes (T2D) who were on basal insulin. Data from 718 patients were analyzed, and after switching to Gla‐U300, the mean HbA1c decreased significantly by 0.7%. The percentage of patients with HbA1c levels below 7% increased from 6.4% to 10.3%. The mean daily insulin dose also decreased slightly. The switch to Gla‐U300 was well-tolerated, with a lower incidence of hypoglycemia compared to the previous insulin.
