A global study on pediatric urology reveals that laparoscopic and robot-assisted approaches offer safe and effective treatments for vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) and obstructive megaureter (OM) in children. Over 1300 patients were assessed across 13 academic centers worldwide from 2016 to 2022. While both methods showed high surgical success rates (96%), the robot-assisted approach demonstrated advantages with shorter operative times and lower complication rates, making it a beneficial option for pediatric urological procedures.
