A network meta-analysis of 168 studies evaluated interventions for sleep problems in fibromyalgia. Exercise, particularly land-based aerobic and aquatic-based aerobic exercise, showed the most consistent improvement in sleep quality compared to placebo. Other treatments, including strengthening exercises, psychological therapy, and pharmacological options like tricyclics and antipsychotics, also showed modest effects. Despite some promising results, the overall certainty of the effectiveness of these interventions remains low due to study biases.
