This retrospective cohort study assessed the rates of labor analgesia among women with fear of childbirth (FOC) compared to those without FOC. The study analyzed data from the National Medical Birth Register and found that women with diagnosed FOC had higher rates of labor analgesia, including epidural analgesia, spinal analgesia, and pudendal block. The findings suggest that optimal pain relief should be provided to mothers with FOC by midwives, obstetricians, and anesthesiologists.
