A study analyzed data from three cohorts and found that a low pulse wave amplitude drops (PWAD) index was independently linked to higher cardiovascular risk in OSA patients. Patients with high PWAD index benefited more from CPAP. However, issues like excluding patients with excessive daytime sleepiness and the relationship between PWAD and OSA progression need further investigation. This study highlights the need for personalized OSA management based on the PWAD index.
