Exposure to multiple air pollutants and the risk of fractures: a large prospective population‐based study

Air pollution has been found to increase the risk of fractures, according to a study analyzing data from the UK Biobank. Researchers examined the relationship between air pollution and fracture risks. The study found that individuals living in areas with the highest levels of air pollution had a 15.3% increased risk of fractures compared to those in the lowest pollution areas.
