Factors associated with quality of life in patients receiving lung transplantation: a cross-sectional study

A recent cross-sectional study examined factors contributing to poor health-related quality of life (HRQL) in patients who have undergone lung transplantation (LTx). The results indicated that dyspnea, measured by the modified Medical Research Council (mMRC) scale, was a significant independent factor affecting both disease-specific (SGRQ) and generic (SF-12) HRQL in LTx patients. Addressing and managing dyspnea may therefore lead to improved HRQL outcomes for these patients.
