Surveillance should consider melanoma patients with 'possible familial melanoma' due to elevated risks. The study found that melanoma incidence in participants was 73 times higher than the general population, with 17% of 224 participants diagnosed during a median follow-up of 5.6 years. Risk group 4’s melanoma rate was similar to risk group 2. Stratification by family history effectively identifies high-risk individuals.
