Feasibility of a novel eHealth intervention for Parkinson’s disease targeting motor-cognitive function in the home

A 10-week home-based motor-cognitive eHealth exercise intervention for Parkinson's disease (PD) showed feasibility and safety. Out of 15 participants, 14 completed the intervention, with high adherence and no adverse events. Most sessions were rated as enjoyable, and the exertion levels were light. The intervention targeted functional strength, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, and motor-cognitive function using the ExorLive® application. Feasibility outcomes, including recruitment, acceptability, safety, and demand, were continuously monitored. The study suggests that the intervention is feasible for PD self-management, but the intensity of physical challenge needs adjustment before further efficacy testing.
