Gut microbiota dysbiosis plays a crucial role in the progression of colorectal cancer (CRC). Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) offers a promising strategy to restore microbial balance, enhance immune responses, and reshape the tumor microenvironment. This review examines FMT’s mechanisms, advantages over other microbiota-based therapies, and challenges, including donor selection and safety. Future research must focus on clinical trials and predictive biomarkers to optimize FMT’s role in CRC treatment.
