First-line regorafenib with nivolumab and chemotherapy in advanced oesophageal, gastric, or gastro-oesophageal junction cancer in the USA

Adding regorafenib to the first-line treatment of advanced oesophagogastric adenocarcinoma alongside nivolumab and chemotherapy has shown promise, improving 6-month progression-free survival in a phase 2 trial. Out of 39 patients, 71% remained progression-free at 6 months. Serious treatment-related adverse events occurred in 26% of patients but didn't result in any deaths. Regorafenib, when combined with these treatments, demonstrated both safety and efficacy, offering potential benefits for patients with HER2-negative metastatic oesophagogastric cancer.
