In 105 elderly asthma patients, noninvasive methods—Forced Oscillation Technique (FOT) and fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO)—complemented spirometry in evaluating asthma control. Lower ACT scores correlated with higher airway resistance and FeNO levels. Combined use of FOT and FeNO provides enhanced monitoring, particularly when conventional spirometry is challenging.
