They were either administered gabapentin (600 mg preoperatively and 300 mg thrice daily postoperatively for three days) or a placebo. Results showed that gabapentin significantly reduced postoperative pain compared to the placebo, with no significant impact on opioid usage, patient satisfaction, or adverse events. Therefore, gabapentin could be considered in multimodal pain management strategies post-scrotal surgery.
