The study compares inpatient glycemic outcomes between patients treated with IDegAsp (Ryzodeg 70/30) and biphasic insulin aspart (BIAsp30) for type 2 diabetes. It involved 88 patients in each group, matched for HbA1c levels. While patient characteristics were similar, IDegAsp users had less frequent dosing but higher mean blood glucose levels and more instances of high blood glucose (>10 mmol/L). Although hypoglycemia rates were similar, IDegAsp users experienced higher evening blood glucose levels compared to BIAsp30 users.
