Guideline-Directed Therapy Reduces Heart Failure Relapse in AiCM

RAS inhibitors and beta-blockers significantly reduce heart failure relapse in arrhythmia-induced cardiomyopathy (AiCM) patients with improved LVEF. A single-center study of 200 patients found 47.3% experienced relapse over a median 6.14-year follow-up. Mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists lowered emergency visits but lacked statistical significance for overall relapse reduction. Antiarrhythmic drugs showed no significant effect. Maintaining these therapies is crucial for long-term heart failure prevention in AiCM patients.
