Conversely, the genera Coprococcus2 and Eubacterium_coprostanoligenes_group were associated with protective effects against DN (odds ratios of 0.68 and 0.69, respectively). These findings highlight the potential role of specific gut bacteria in DN development, warranting further validation through additional research to better understand the microbiota's impact on kidney health.
