The treatment enhanced hepatic fatty acid oxidation and peripheral glucose disposal without affecting endogenous glucose production. However, HEXA-FC was ineffective against severe MASH and liver fibrosis, suggesting its potential for treating mild MASH and type 2 diabetes.
