A recent cross-sectional study conducted in the northern West Bank, Palestine, revealed a concerning prevalence of postpartum depression (PPD) among Palestinian women. Out of 380 mothers aged 18 to 44 surveyed between May 1, 2022, and June 30, 2022, 33.9% exhibited PPD, with key risk factors identified. Stressful events during pregnancy, vacuum use during delivery, low social support, and husbands' low education level were significant predictors. The findings underscore the critical need for PPD screening and early intervention, particularly for women facing vulnerable circumstances.
