High Surgical Accuracy in Combined Femoral Deformity Correction

The study investigates 34 patients (36 knees) undergoing distal femoral osteotomy (DFO) with patient-specific instruments (PSIs) for correcting coronal and rotational femoral deformities. Significant improvements were seen in hip-knee-ankle angle (HKA) and femoral torsion postoperatively, with corrections of 2.4° ± 3.6° to 0.1° ± 1.8° (P < .001) for HKA and 31.2° ± 17.2° to 18.7° ± 7.4° (P < .001) for femoral torsion. The absolute mean differences in correction were 1.1° for HKA and 2.4° for femoral torsion, showing high surgical accuracy.
