hsa_circ_0000264 promotes tumor progression via the hsa‐let‐7b‐5p/HMGA2 axis in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

A study revealed the pivotal role of hsa_circ_0000264, a Circular RNA (CircRNA), in the disease. Studies confirm its significant upregulation in HNSCC tissues. Functionally, hsa_circ_0000264 drives HNSCC progression by upregulating high mobility group AT-hook 2 (HMGA2) via sponging hsa‐let‐7b‐5p, promoting migration, invasion and epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition. This newfound understanding suggests hsa_circ_0000264 as a potential therapeutic target for HNSCC. In-depth analyses, including RNA pull-down and in vivo experiments, support these groundbreaking findings.
