Hypertension and diabetes significantly impact patients with cardiac amyloidosis (CA). In a study of 887 patients from five Italian referral centers, hypertension was associated with increased interventricular septal thickness (0.63 mm, 95% CI 0.2–1.06) and a higher E/e’ ratio (1.92, 95% CI 0.55–3.29). Diabetes independently increased mortality and heart failure hospitalizations (HR 1.45, 95% CI 1.05–1.99, p = 0.02).
