The study explored the relationship between dysfunctional breathing and VCD/inducible laryngeal obstruction (ILO). Video-recorded laryngoscopy during hyperventilation showed that only individuals with moderate/severe asthma and those with recent COVID-19 infection developed VCD/ILO. These findings suggest dysfunctional breathing may provoke VCD/ILO and highlight the need for further research into this connection.
