iATT Algorithm Outperforms CAP for Hepatic Steatosis Diagnosis

A study of 414 chronic liver disease patients compared the improved Attenuation Measurement (iATT) algorithm to the Controlled Attenuation Parameter (CAP) and MRI-derived proton density fat fraction (PDFF). iATT showed a stronger correlation with MRI-PDFF (CC = 0.727 vs. 0.615 for CAP, p < 0.001) and higher diagnostic accuracy for steatosis grades (AUROC: 0.901 for ≥S1). Results suggest iATT is more reliable than CAP and offers comparable accuracy to MRI-derived PDFF for hepatic steatosis assessment.
