
A retrospective case-control study evaluated the impact of IgM and IgA-enriched IgG (IGAM) therapy on SARS-CoV-2 ICU patients during three pandemic waves. Among 196 patients, 85 received standard treatment (ST) plus IGAM therapy (group A), while 111 received ST alone (group B). Group A exhibited significantly lower mortality (37.6% vs. 55.8%, P = 0.01). Logistic regression identified IGAM as a survival predictor (OR: 0.35), while super-infection and septic shock were predictors of death. By day 7, mortality risk was three times higher in group B. The Variable Life Adjustment Display (VLAD) score further highlighted the survival advantage in group A. These findings suggest IGAM therapy may improve outcomes in severe COVID-19-related sepsis, warranting further prospective research.
