Impact of COVID‐19 in Patients with Heart Failure with Mildly Reduced or Preserved Ejection Fraction

The DELIVER study assessed the impact of COVID-19 on patients with heart failure and preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). The 12-month death rate after COVID-19 diagnosis was significantly higher, peaking at 0-3 months post-diagnosis. Dapagliflozin showed persistent benefits in reducing cardiovascular death and worsening heart failure events even when censoring at COVID-19 diagnosis and pandemic onset.
