This study investigates the impact of dual heart and lung recovery from circulatory death donors (DCD) on transplant outcomes. Analyzing 2,513 transplants from 2019-2023, results showed no significant difference in post-transplant dialysis, stroke, or mortality rates between dual and single organ recovery. However, dual recovery recipients had a lower likelihood of acute rejection. These findings suggest dual DCD recovery does not negatively affect heart and lung transplant outcomes.
